February 3 and 4- Night poem and III.III questions

Today students got into groups and wrote a poem with the topic being Night- we discussed Juliet's monologue about her wedding night also.

Students then were given questions to answer after reading Act III Scene III. If they didn't finish in class, it should be finished as homework.

Questions for III.III.

For each question, give an answer, and notate the line or lines that prove your answer.

At the beginning of this scene, does Romeo know what the Prince’s decision is?

Why is Romeo unhappy with the punishment?

According to the Nurse, how is Juliet acting?

In Friar Laurence’s speech III.III.111-161, he gives Romeo many reasons why he should be happy.  List two.
